💚🍎 September Wrap-Up from New Plymouth Community Foodbank 🍎💚

As we close out September, we want to take a moment to reflect on what our amazing community has achieved together.

📦 572 food parcels were provided during September, helping to feed 1,262 people across our community. That's 1,262 people who had a little less worry and a little more food on the table because of the kindness of others. ❤️

This year is on track to be the busiest year on record for our foodbank, and while the need continues to grow, so does the generosity of our community.

We simply couldn't do what we do without you. This is a community foodbank, for the community, by the community. 🤝💚

🙏 Thank you to everyone who gives their:

⏰ Time and 💪 Energy - ❤️ volunteers
💰 Dollars
🥚 Egg cartons
🍊 Homegrown fruit and vegetables
🛍️ Paper bags
🥫 Jars and food donations

A special thank you to those who see our Facebook posts asking for rice, pasta, canned food, cereal or other essentials and add an extra item to their shopping trolley each week. Those small acts of kindness make a huge difference. 🛒❤️

Thank you to our:

⛪ Churches
🏫 Schools
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Whānau
🤝 Community groups
🌟 Volunteers
💚 Supporters and businesses

Your ongoing support of our mahi helps ensure we can continue to be there when people need us most.

To everyone who gives to the foodbank, whether through donations, volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply spreading the word:

THANK YOU! 💚

The support you show for people you will likely never meet is truly inspiring. It is a wonderful reminder that New Plymouth is a community that cares for one another. 🫶

With gratitude,

🌟 Supporter Spotlight: Our Board of Trustees 🌟

Behind the scenes of the New Plymouth Community Foodbank is a dedicated group of volunteers who generously give their time, skills, and experience to help guide our organisation and ensure we can continue supporting our community.

Today we'd like to shine a light on our amazing Board of Trustees. 💙

Our trustees work quietly in the background, providing governance, oversight, and strategic direction, while helping us make important decisions that strengthen our foodbank for the future. Their commitment helps ensure we can continue delivering much-needed support to individuals and whānau across our community.

We are incredibly grateful for the time, passion, and dedication they bring to their roles. Their leadership, encouragement, and belief in what we do plays a vital part in helping us achieve our mission.

Please join us in thanking our Board of Trustees for their ongoing service and support. 👏😊

Together, we're building a stronger, more connected community.
