Awesome night to night. At last my 2 juniors went for there junior Black Belt. Could not be prouder with their energy, effort and commitment. Excellent all round. Sensei Jake said that he was very impressed with both of them for 2 kids they were full of effort and commitment. Joshu Mathew and sensei Terry felt the same. Thank you O'sensei kat for grading one of the juniors, respect 🙏.

What an amazing 24 hour's with Mathew from Shushikai going for his Yadansha tanren. Most incredible people to help and support him. House full and some fantastic conversations. Mathew passed and showed excellent heart and mana.

Last Saturday there was a tournament held by the Stratford kyokushin Karate for novice students in Stratford and Nicholas Gilmer showed an interest in competing in this event. Nicholas trains in both Kenashido and shushikai karate. We made it possible for him to attend. Thanks to Sensei Jake Brand, Taranaki Kempo Chi Gung for all the fight training with Nicholas. Thank you to Sensei Mathew Gilmer from both shushikai and Kenashido Karate for your coaching Nicholas. He had a great time with an awesome exchange and making new friends. Nicholas came 2nd and we are all very proud of his effort. Respect

I am a karate master/teacher and I take it seriously. No one gets a free pass. If you are at my standard for your grading then you will progress, if not then you will not. Work hard, train hard is the only way, the karate way. Respect 🙏

I have dedicated over 55 years to the martial arts. I have no regrets and I have impacted so many lives over the many years both in and out of training. I love teaching and watching people grow. I love the fact that our style is the only one in the world and not an extension of a huge federation. That to me that makes it unique. My goal is and always was to make my students better than I ever was, that is the final stage. Respect 🙏
