A joint competition with our Police SAR team was held on Saturday.

Up for grabs was the Craig Rookes memorial shield and of course the bragging rights for the winning team.

A big thanks all involved and to those who attended, it was a fantastic day!

It’s always enjoyable working alongside our police SAR team.

Big thanks Rapid Relief Team NZ you guys do a awesome job!!!

Taranaki Search and Rescue volunteers provide vital search and rescue support across the region and regularly take part in training exercises to keep their skills sharp.

During the Dawson Falls SAREX training event on 16–17 May, RRT helped keep the team fuelled, serving 50 Signature Burgers on Saturday and providing 40 pies and filled rolls on Sunday. Thanks to Taranaki SAR for having us along and for the work you do in our communities. 🚁🍔

We had our annual SARex last weekend and if gave us a chance to give our new Tirol stretcher kit and wheel a run. What a dream machine compared to our old one! It was purchased this year with the help of a generous donation from https://www.monkeytoe.co.nz/

Saturday late afternoon a call came in that a person had taken a wrong turn on his descent from the summit. A team including two ACR members headed up to assist.

Quick drink break on the way up with Kyal and the team with a fantastic view.
