If you missed the attention to detail in today’s sandcastles, our participants certainly didn’t.

Every shell, carving, and sandy octopus tells a story from the Driftwood Council Sand Castle Competition.

Thank you to everyone who came along for year two of the event alongside Duke Festival of Surfing! We can’t wait to see you all again next year 🏖️

The day is almost here! 🤩☀️

So far the weather is looking 👌 for sandcastle building! And we're so excited see what you all create!

🥰 Come on down to check out what everyone is creating and vote on your favourite creation!

🪏 Bring your spades and buckets anyway for some sideline sand art fun! You just won't have your own plot or be included in the judging.

We dug these pics up from the New Zealand Sandcastle Competition from back in the day - what an epic event this was! We're hoping to build the New Brighton Sand Castle Comp back to it's former glory! Come along and join the fun

It's been so wonderful watching this project unfold! 😍

Aiyanna was a pitch winner at one of our previous Soup events. 🥣 The cash from Soup, some other generous contributions, and LOTS of hard work from Aiyanna and Wayne have brought Sand Art Alley to life! Go check it out on Marine Parade (next to the Souvlaki food truck).
