Targeted Youth Health Service - Nelson The Targeted Youth Health Service works with young people who are enrolled in Alternative Education, YMCA and the Nelson Young Parents School.

The Targeted Youth Health Service provides a mobile youth health service by a Adolescent Nurse Specialist and Youth Counsellor who are skilled in youth health and development for students, aged 12-20 years and who are enrolled in Alternative Education, YMCA and the Nelson Young Parents School in the Nelson/Tasman and Marlborough region. Comprehensive youth health assessments are offered by the Ad

olescent Nurse Specialist with follow up care provided in collaboration with the young person, whanau and education provider. This is a free service. The Youth Alcohol and Drug Counsellor provides a mobile service and works alongside the Adolescent Nurse Specialist to provide assessment and treatment for alcohol, other drug use/abuse and mild mental health issues. Referrals are taken from the Adolescent Nurse Specialist only.
