A little bit about our organisation:
A

n incorporated society since the 20th October, 1976, Nelson Community Potters acquired the studio the same year and continue the support the art of pottery in Nelson. Volunteers give approximately 1500 hours total of their time annually to continue keeping the building running and club open. Many famous potters in the region have spent time and learnt a variety of skills at Nelson Community Potters including Katie Gold, Royce McGlashen, Steve Fulmer, David Griffith, Bruce and Ngarie Hands, Bruce Lissant-Clayton, and Peter Gibbs, among others. Many of the potters return to hold courses at NCP to encourage and support the next generation of potters.
