What a great way to finish our Motueka School Holiday Programme!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along over the past few days. We hope you’ve enjoyed your time with us. It has been awesome seeing our young people come together, socialise, make new friends, play, laugh and simply have fun! 🙌🏽😊

A big thank you to our amazing 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗸𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 staff for all the work behind the scenes and for making these days possible.

A special mention and thank you to 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 from Nelson Police for joining us on our final day and bringing along the 𝗣𝗖𝗧 𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗿. 🚔💪🏽 Our young people had the opportunity to give it a go, challenge themselves and learn more about the Police, while also seeing Policing as a possible future career pathway.

Thank you 𝗡𝗭 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 for creating this opportunity for our young people and for continuing to connect positively with our Pasifika community. 💙

🌊☀️ DAY 2 – KAITeriteri BEACH HANGOUT! 🏖️

What an awesome second day of our Nelson Tasman Pasifika Community Trust School Holiday Programme in Motueka!

Today was all about enjoying beautiful Kaiteriteri Beach — swimming, playing games, sharing food, laughing together and simply giving our young people time to hang out, connect and enjoy being kids. 💙

After yesterday’s adventure exploring Ngarua Caves and Hawkes Lookout, today was a chance to slow down and enjoy one of the beautiful places we are blessed to have right here in our region.

It has been so good seeing our young people building friendships, trying new experiences and making memories together.

A massive fa’afetai tele lava to our team, families and everyone who has helped make these days possible.

Starts tomorrow. This week we will be in Motueka and next week we will be based in Nelson if you haven’t registered it’s still not too late for Nelson next week. Just a quick reminder for those attending this week:

The Nelson Tasman Pasifika Trust is bringing you 3 days of fun, connection, kai and activities these school holidays! 🌴🤙🏽

Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of taking our kaumātua out for an afternoon of bowling and kai 🎳🍽️

For many of our kaumātua, it was their first time ever bowling, which made the outing even more special! It was a great opportunity to try something new, connect with one another, share plenty of laughs and enjoy some quality time together.

A big thank you to Adult and Community Education Aotearoa (ACE) for your support of our kaumātua and for helping us create opportunities like this for our community. We truly appreciate your support and contribution. ❤️🌺

This year the Pasefika Arts & Culture Collective is bringing the inaugural Nelson Tasman Pasefika Festival to Whakatū.

The day will be a celebration of Pasefika culture with an incredible programme of entertainment across the day, including dance performances, activations and delicious island food.

Location: Founders Park, 87 Atawhai Drive, The Wood, Nelson
Koha: gold coin entry

💙🌺 HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO OUR PASIFIKA FATHERS! 🌺💙

Today we honour and celebrate all the amazing fathers, grandfathers, uncles, stepfathers, father figures and men across our Pasifika community who continue to lead, love, protect, provide and serve their families.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make, the wisdom you share, the prayers you pray, and the example you set for the next generation. Your presence and leadership make a difference in our families and our communities.

We also acknowledge those remembering fathers who are no longer with us today. May you hold close the precious memories, love and legacy they have left behind.

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13)

From all of us, we wish our beautiful Pasifika community a blessed and joyful Father’s Day!

May God continue to strengthen and bless all our fathers and father figures.
