Kia ora Taradale Residents,
Thank you to everyone who has supported our organisation and its predecessors over the last 50+ years - committee members, ward councillor representatives, other members and those who have ever been to one of our many public meetings or followed us online. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all and let you know that the TRA was officially dissolved in March and removed from the Incorporated Societies Register as per our request following a Special General Meeting earlier in the year.
At our last AGM it was noted that it was a sign of the times, with member numbers having dwindled considerably and our aging committee hanging on by a thread with no one new interested in taking over executive committee roles.
However, as the sun sets on the Association it will continue to shine on our parting 'gift' to Taradale residents with the installation of a wooden park bench donated to Taradale Park (near our donated mural on the toilet block) and a Puriri tree near Park Island. We'd like to acknowledge and thank the Napier City Council for all their assistance in helping us to realise this final project as we sign off.

While the TRA no longer exists, someone from the group will continue to post public notices which might be of interest. For example, the popular 'Meet the Candidates' for local body elections meeting which the TRA used to organise will be run by another local group this year (Greenmeadows Rotary Club TBC). So, watch this space. Taradale residents might also like to follow the Taradale Business Association in our absence.
