We are excited to introduce our newest Board Trustee, Robert Monteith, who brings with him extensive governance, technology, and strategic leadership experience across the IT, telecommunications, public sector, and not-for-profit sectors.

Robert joins the organisation with a strong background in operational transformation, financial oversight, systems development, and organisational growth. His expertise is already supporting improvements to Dress for Success Hawke’s Bay’s financial systems, technology infrastructure, reporting capability, and long-term operational resilience.

We are delighted to welcome Robert and look forward to the knowledge, insight, and experience he brings to the organisation.

Happy Mother’s Day from Dress for Success Hawke’s Bay 🌸

Today, we celebrate mothers—past and present—and all those who have stepped into this role with care, strength, and love. We recognise that “motherhood” can take many forms: caregivers, mentors, aunties, friends, and those who quietly hold others up in times of need.

We also hold space for those for whom today may feel complicated—those who are grieving, or may be carrying difficult experiences. Your feelings are yours, they are valid, and you are not alone.

To every woman and person supporting their family, their friends, and their community in ways both seen and unseen—today, we celebrate you 💛

We have an important update to share with you all—Dress for Success Hawke's Bay is no longer located at Bower House.

We’re pleased to let you know that we’ve secured a new, more suitable space for our services on Tennyson Street! This new location will allow us to better support our clients and continue growing what we offer across the region.

To celebrate our new space, we’re excited to announce the date for our first shopping day at our new location:

We’ll have plenty of beautiful clothing, jewellery, and accessories available, and we can’t wait to welcome back our regular supporters as well as meet some new faces 💛

Exciting news! We’ve recently moved into our new location on Tennyson Street, and we’ll be opening to the public very soon — keep an eye out for our upcoming post announcing our first shop day in our new location — we’ve missed you all and can’t wait to welcome you into our new space 🩷

While we continue to set up our new premises, we are also busily replenishing our clothing for both our clients and for our shopping days, which provide vital revenue to support our day-to-day operations and allow us to continue delivering our services across Hawke’s Bay communities.

With this in mind, we are currently in need of and gratefully accepting clothing donations.

So, what are we looking for? Gently worn, smart and casual clothing – all sizes, styles and colours. Warm tops, jumpers, jackets and coats are especially welcome, with temperatures dropping.

If you have items to donate, we’re happy to arrange pick-ups — just send us a message to find out more or for information on our drop off locations.

We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support — your donations help provide not just clothing, but confidence, dignity, and opportunity 🌷

We’re currently working on confirming our updated shop days and hours and will share these with you very shortly.

🎉 Moving Sale Alert! 🎉 See you all tomorrow (Friday, 27th Feb), for a fabulous shopping experience!
