Yesterday saw over 20,000 visitors through the gates, with a special highlight being the visit of Te Arikinui Nga Wai Hono i te Po to our hub.

Our team is back again today and ready for a kōrero about how we can support your environmental restoration projects and aspirations. You can also catch up with the whānau from Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, who are showcasing the incredible mahi they do to protect and restore our precious taonga species.🦉🦎

Come and visit Ngāti Hauā Mahi Trust at Fieldays in the Ngā Whetū o te Whenua. Reach for the Stars, Return to the Whenua hub ✨️

📍located at Site RM150.

This unique hub, led by Te Puni Kōkiri, celebrates Māori innovation, enterprise, mātauranga, and the connection between people and the whenua. It showcases the many ways Māori are creating opportunities, growing thriving communities and caring for our environment for future generations.

Our team will be there throughout the event to kōrero about our environmental restoration mahi, native plant supply and planting projects across the rohe. 🌱

We also have a Fieldays special for this week only, all orders go into the draw to win a $250 prezzy card 🎁

Our nursery team have had a full and rewarding season over the summer🌱☀️

From collecting kākano across our rohe, to carefully nurturing each tipu, the team have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare for the upcoming planting season.

Every kākano carries a story, and it’s been a privilege to help bring new life through this important mahi, continuing our commitment to kaitiakitanga and the whenua 🌿✨

This morning greeted us with a crisp, beautiful start ❄️ A reminder of why we do what we do.

E mihi ana ki ngā ringakaha i whakatipu, i tiaki i ngā taonga — Thank you to our nursery team for taking care of our taonga and for all the hard mahi 💚🌿

Our operations team will now prepare to plant over the Winter - follow us for updates on the planting season 🌱🌳

Ngāti Hauā Mahi Trust were honoured to be invited to the renaming of the courts at the Morrinsville Events Centre, now known as the Hugh Vercoe Courts, along with the unveiling of a commerative plaque.

A special ceremony brought together whānau, friends, community leaders and representatives to acknowledge the lasting impact of Hughs contributions.

General Manager Taiporutu Hauraki spoke on behalf of Ngāti Hauā Mahi Trust, reflecting on the significant mahi Hugh Vercoe contributed to the Trust during his many years as a Trustee.
