Maniaroa Marae Public Page Official PUBLIC Maniaroa Marae page. Te Kohaarua was built at Te Kauri, on the hill overlooking the Mokau Bridge.

The second being erected at Maniaroa in the late 1800’s. This was dismantled with other buildings in the early 1940’s when those living at Maniaroa moved to Purapura. The third meeting house was opened at Maniaroa in 1987.

Maniaroa Pā Annual General Meeting

This is to advise that the next Annual General Meeting of beneficiaries to be held in accordance with the Ratified Charter (2007), has been scheduled for June 2025.

The Annual General Meeting of the beneficiaries of Maniaroa Marae shall be held every two years (pg.4).

We understand you may have anticipated an AGM before the close of 2024, and we sincerely apologise for any
inconvenience caused.

The meeting notice with the confirmed date, start time and agenda will be posted 21 days in advance in the King Country News, on the marae page, and the Mokau Community Connection Facebook bulletin board.

Your understanding and support for the change of date is sincerely appreciated.

Te Whare o Mokau ki Runga warmly invite you to attend a hui to discuss the future of the Raahui currently in place along our shared coastline from Awakino river to Opito point.

Our first hui to share koorero on the future direction of the Rahui will be held on:
