The official 24-hour shearers are:
Stand 1. Cole Wells. Brayden Clifford. Stand 4. David Gower. Shearers will work for 12 x 2-hour runs with breaks. A total of 32 hours. (Timetable to be added)
Food supplied for all workers. Beds available – bring sleeping bags. Non-Alcohol event during the 24-Hour Shearathon. We chose to support the Southland Charity Hospital because they have a very important story behind them. Before Blair Vining passed away from bowel cancer, he and his wife Melissa worked tirelessly to reform the system and make access to cancer care equitable for all Kiwis. One of the greatest legacies created because of their work is the formation of the Southland Charity Hospital. The Southland Charity Hospital do not receive any Government funding.
