The Leaning Lodge Trust has engaged a writer and a designer to prepare a top quality book to record some of the history of the Leaning Lodge Hut. Sections of the book cover;

Early Adventures – The Otago Ski Club and other alpine experiences associated with the first hut
Ecological Discoveries – Flora and Fauna with pieces by Sir Alan Mark and others
Current Day Activities – Cross-country skiing, tramping, biking, dark night sky etc.
Farming the Rock and Pillars by the McKenzie family
The Hut Rebuild from the concept through the design to construction and opening.
Acknowledgements

There are numerous photographs, mostly colour, some historic, some recording the changes and others just celebrating the stunning location.

The soft cover book is A4 landscape, 70 pages and with top quality photographs and narrative. Expected retail price is $40.

The Leaning Lodge Trust wishes to gauge interest so as to print an appropriate number of copies in early April 2025. Don’t miss out!
