🎉 Fun Games Rally at Matamata Pony Club this weekend! 🐴

Our members had a blast getting into the games and blowing off some steam while gearing up for our end of season rally next weekend! ☀️🏇

It was also fantastic to welcome a couple of new faces along to try our club out — we loved having you join in the fun! 😊

What a HUGE day out for some of our Matamata Pony Club riders who joined the Waikato Hunt at Millers Farm today! 🐎🎉

Battling the weather 🌧️💨 didn’t slow them down — the team showed real grit and determination, taking on spars and stone walls like absolute legends! 💪🔥

Plenty of thrills, muddy boots, and big smiles all round 😄✨

Massive shoutout to Zoe, who capped off the day by winning a rug for her efforts 🏆👏 — so well deserved! 💖

These are the days we love — a bit wild, a bit muddy, and a whole lot of fun! 🙌🌿

🐴 WAPC Teams Dressage Day 🐴

What a fantastic day out for our Matamata Pony Club riders! With lots of new members this season, it was great introducing them to the dressage discipline. We even had a lead rein rider and were able to supply a brilliant draft rider who rode fantastically.

The team spirit was awesome, with our more experienced riders helping the newer ones learn the ropes. Some of these riders were only learning how to ride a test a month ago, so seeing them out there competing is pretty cool!

We’re incredibly proud of our little club finishing 3rd overall — such a great effort from everyone involved.

Arabella and Sands – 12th – 65.455% - BG1
Caitlin and Lacey– 3rd – 71.667% - BG1

Zoe and Honey– 1st – 71.071% - J6
Tayla and Bernie – 1st – 79% - J7

Intermediate
Ellie – 5th – 72% - 1A
Anna – 6th – 71.4% - 1A

Congrats to Zoe, who also took home a rosette for Top Combined Score over her two tests in the Juniors — woohoo! 🎉

And a big thank you to our riders who did a great job running tests back to the office on our arvo duty. A big thanks to Monica (Tamahere PC) getting sucked in by Tayla to help do the last shift with her. Everyone was tired and the girls got it done!🙏 It’s a tough slog but all a part of helping out.

Such a fun day for our riders and we’re so proud of how they all represented our club! 🐎💙

Also a huge special thanks to Kara and the WAPC team. An amazing event we are always forever grateful for and love attending.

You can fundraise as a club, an individual or a team.....

Make sure who the funds are going to is clearly advertised, and what they are going towards. Eg. Eventing champs, champs week etc

But working towards goals is one part and affording them is the other!
