*** ANNUAL BOOK FAIR ***

8th - 11th October 2025, Matamata Memorial Centre

The Matamata Historical Society annual book fair is a charity fundraising event that raises funds to help the Society update current displays or create and install new displays at the Firth Tower Museum.
All books are pre loved and donated to the Society. You’ll find DVDs, jigsaw puzzles plus adult and children's books for sale.

Preloved books can be donated at any time of the year. Drop off points are Railside by the Green or Firth Tower Reserve and Museum.

Travel back in time! Firth Tower will be hosting the World War Two Historical Re-enactment Society New Zealand on Saturday 20th September 2025, 10am - 3pm. If you've been looking for an opportunity to visit Firth Tower, then mark the day in your diary. Usual admission charges will apply, which includes access to the whole museum as well as the displays and talks by the Historical Reenactment Society. More details to come closer to the event.
