We are excited to share the results of our recent vote. With an impressive 80% turnout, we saw fantastic engagement from across the country — and an incredible 90.1% voted YES

You have voted to change our structure to three layers and to adopt our new National Constitution.

This is a strong show of support from our Clubs and Areas, and it gives us a clear mandate to move forward together. The new structure will strengthen the way we connect, support each other, and continue to deliver the very best for our riders, coaches, and volunteers.

🚨 Exciting News! 🚨

The Matakana Pony Club is thrilled to announce a new 5-year licence to occupy Jubilee Park, securing the grounds for future generations of equestrians! 🎉 We’d like to thank the Rodney Local Board (RLB) and Mahurangi Equestrian Advocacy Group (MEAG) for their support. 🌟

With the new season starting in October 2025, we’re welcoming riders of all levels—whether you’re 4 or 40! 🐴🤗 Join our Pony Club family and become part of a community that builds skills, character, and friendships that last a lifetime.

It was wonderful to see the Matakana Mavericks Soccer team practice at the Jubilee Park grounds tonight! We look forward to them coming back and making this a regular team session!!! Go the Mavericks!!! Always good to see the grounds being used and shared amongst the community.

Great result today, the Rodney Local Board granted the Matakana Pony Club a license to occupy 5 x 5. We would like to thank the Local Board for their time today and over the many months of working on a new lease. Special mention to Andrea Moore, Naomi Marshall and Karen Richardson from our club for their tireless work of many hours and meetings to get us to where we now have a new lease! Also a special mention to Nadia Sakey for all her work the previous year as well. We look forward to the 2025-26 Season!
