Masterton Men's Shed at Henley Lake

Masterton Men's Shed at Henley Lake A Sanctuary and place of Mens Health and Wellbeing, where blokes can be in the company of other men of all ages, doing something or nothing.

You can find blokes chatting about matters important to men, or working shoulder to shoulder in the workshop. The concept of what a man does in his shed in the backyard is brought into a community setting, so adding the atmosphere of blokeship and forming new friendships. Those who join the Henley Mens Shed can share & develop skills, make or repair things, relate experiences, discuss health and other issues, talk about anything while enjoying a cuppa & biscuit or even another blokes scones.

Mens Shed Week starts tomorrow (7th to 13th September)
Purpose isn’t something you find. It’s something you build.
Every day, Men’s Sheds are building friendships, sharing skills, supporting communities and creating places where blokes belong.
Because every Shed is Built on Purpose.
Masterton Mens Shed where blokes can do what blokes do best, has been doing wonderful stuff in the community since 2009, having spread their efforts through collaboration with over 180 projects in partnership with local clubs, groups and organisations.
Once again, we celebrate Mens Shed Week (7th to 13th September 2026) and invite the community to pop in any weekday morning to see what the blokes are up to, from items for a childcare, to restoring a family heirloom there’s so much happening in the shed. You can also visit the blokes outside Mitre10 Mega where they will be collecting to support the Wellington Free Ambulance appeal on Friday and Saturday 11th & 12th Sept.
Diversity within from cooking, woodwork, metalworking, gardens, men’s health sessions, writers’ group, even a game of darts. The shed has been built around the blokes and the sort of projects & activities that keep them occupied and out of mischief (well most of the time).
