Friday was such an incredible day - the community out in force on a sunny day to play some golf and have some fun! All in the name of charity! We are so grateful to have been one of the recipient charities, the generosity of our community never ceases to amaze us!

A massive thank you to Gary and his Eastwood Motor Group team for putting on such an amazing event!

Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored and helped out on the day, especially the Wairarapa Boxing Academy whānau who are always there for us no matter what, and to our co - recipients Masterton Squash Club - you guys did an awesome job too!

Mahunga Golf Club Inc thank you so much for hosting us and letting us take over the entire course! We had the best day and can’t wait for the next one!

The WYCT were lucky enough to be a grant recipient this year! We are truly grateful for the support! 🤍

This year was Nikau’s largest Grants Round ever.

In total, we received over 450 applications requesting almost $4.5 million from organisations supporting communities across Te Upoko-o-te-Ika-a-Māui, the Greater Wellington region.

Representing a 6% increase in applications from 2024, this is reflective of a challenging economic climate, high community need, narrowing funding eligibility and redirected funding, which have collectively created an extremely challenging environment for most for-purpose organisations.

With needs high, we listened and leaned in to deliver practical, meaningful and responsive support to our communities.
