Today is the UN's International Day of Older Persons!

We are lucky to have some absolute rockstar seniors in our community, who contribute their time, knowledge and generosity to keep our region flourishing. Thank you for everything you do!

We have a number of services just for seniors based at Heartlands:
Digital Seniors Wairarapa
Age Concern Wairarapa
Ministry of Social Development NZ Superannuation Team
University of the Third Age

We are looking forward to being a part of this event!

The Wairarapa Community Networks have organised this event for our coastal residents on the 18th September.

It’s a great chance to find out about services and how to access them, get some free basic medical checkups, and pick-up some goodie bags.

Multiple organisations will be there!

Including our friends Age Concern Wairarapa, Nuku Ora - an active Wellington region, Stroke Aotearoa New Zealand, Hospice Wairarapa, Te Pā Hau Ora o Wairarapa, Whaiora, Wellington Free Ambulance, Wellington Region Emergency Management Office

It is free to attend, and lunch will be provided. We would love to see you there!

We're aware of a number of scams circulating in our community (and nationwide), with phone calls pretending to be banks.

The main message is to slow down and to not be rushed into anything - this is what scammers are trying to get you to do.
