Auckland Airport Community Trust

Auckland Airport Community Trust The Auckland Airport Community Trust (AACT) is a charitable trust that’s here to help our community soar.

With a vision of ensuring our neighbourhood is a great place to live, work, play and learn, Auckland Airport Community Trust (AACT) provides grants to benefit those in the South Auckland community. With a vision of ensuring that Auckland Airport’s neighbourhood is a great place to live, work, play and learn, we provide financial assistance to reduce the impact of aircraft noise in homes and to sup

port community groups around Auckland Airport. We’re passionate about helping our local community to thrive and grow. To date, we’ve distributed over $5 million in grants to benefit the community, focusing on projects/programmes in education, community, arts and culture, environment, sport and health that meet our priorities. AACT was established in 2003 by Auckland International Airport Limited as a condition of the Environment Court when we built a second runway at Auckland Airport. Our community grants are awarded to support the communities living within current and projected noise-affected areas in the vicinity of Auckland Airport. Our microgrant programme helps community organisations in our area access small, quick response grants to support their crucial work. Our trust manager Natalie Vincent joined one of our grant recipients Momentum Charitable Trust at the Ōtara Community Corrections Centre today to participate in the life and financial skills programme. Thanks Phil and the team from Life 101 for inviting us to come along and see first hand the impact of what you do. Great to meet all the participants - and learn some things too! Ka pai, keep up the great work 🤩AACT is proud to support this important mahi.

Our annual public meeting was held yesterday announcing our 2025/26 community grant recipients. Our annual meeting is always filled with aroha 🥰 and is a great time to hear from the organisations doing incredible work in our community. We love bringing people together and providing an opportunity for learning from each other.

Congratulations to those who received a share of our distribution this year of $282,762. It is never easy making grant decisions, and this year was no different. We received applications in excess of $1.5million.

Thank you to Jenny Horst from Youth Mentoring, Liz Mitchell MNZM from Revolution Studio and the amazing young poet from Education Inc who presented. We really appreciate you 🌟

We love seeing the difference our community grants are making! Last year we supported KiNZ Mission Heights with their community composting project. The project helped children become independent in sorting organic rubbish into bins and was a great learning process with reading signage and symbols and understanding the composting system.

Proud to be supporting early learners and the wider community. Happy composting!
