Congratulations to Laura Rae and Jimmy O'Callaghan who have recently returned from the Solomons having been selected by Oxfam for an exchange visit to the island of Malaita. The kōrero focused on the impacts of climate change and sharing how we respond to the existential threat of a warming climate whilst building a hopeful future for our mokopuna.

Some of the people they met visited Maketu in May last year, along with people from other Pacific nations.

Jimmy and Laura are part of the team behind the Maketu Climate Adaptation Plan - He Toka Tū Moana - along with Roana Bennett and Elva Conroy.
