Meningitis is an infection that can start with flu-like symptoms and quickly become life-threatening. Don’t wait if you suspect your tamariki has meningitis – take them to the doctor immediately. 🚨

Meningococcal B immunisation is part of the National Immunisation Schedule and is given to pēpi at 3 months, 5 months, and 12 months old. All children under 5 years old who have not been fully immunised can catch up for free. This world meningitis day, check your immunisation status, as well as your children's, to ensure the whole whānau is as protected as possible from this serious infection.

Just a reminder that the Little Adventurers Playgroup will be open on Wednesday from 9.30-11.30am. This group is located at the Girl Guides Hall, 45 Stanmore Bay Road and suitable for parents and caregivers with kids 0-5 years.

You don't need to book in advance and it's free to attend. Indoor and outdoor play areas are available with lots of fun activities for the kids to enjoy!
