Event 9 of the 2026 NZ Putting Tour was played on the Blackbeard’s Course at Treasure Island Adventure Golf in Auckland on Saturday 15 August with the event culminating in a very chilly afternoon but thankfully no rain.

Ten 4-Round Premier players and three 2-Round Champion players took on the more challenging of the two Treasure Island courses.

🥈 2nd= – Angus Shaw (84)

A consistent performance by Grant with both rounds under 40!

🥈 2nd – Dan Broederlow (152)
🥉 3rd – James McCarthy (153)

Great to see Dan and Dante back playing! Dante takes the honours for the best differential in the Premier division and Cameron the only player shooting under 40 in each round.

On to Event 10 on Sunday morning and with the weather still a little chilly, eleven 4-Round Premier and two 2-Round Champion players undertook the slightly easier Captain’s Course at Treasure Island.

Lowest Round: Cameron Couper and Fabian Ochse (32)

Once again Dante was the most consistent player in this division. Fabian’s handy 32 in Round 3 moved him smartly up the leaderboard, with Cameron, Matt and Fabian all shooting each round under 40.

Over both days, all but two of the Premier players in Round 4 shot under 40 also!
Ironically, given Blackbeard’s Course is traditionally the hardest, only two holes were without aces, whereas on the easier Captain’s Course, five holes were not aced.

We love celebrating all kinds of mini golf happenings, so we're stoked (or should we say... stroked) to see the Mount Golf Club in Mount Maunganui hosting a putting competition this September - a NZ Putting Open!

After a stormy Friday and Saturday forced the cancellation of the Putting Tour's Golf Warehouse Lower Hutt event, players regrouped yesterday at Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf in Porirua. And despite a chilly wind, we got through the event's four rounds.

Kia ora all,

For the first time in the Putting Tour's history, we've had to make a weather call - heavy rain has left Golf Warehouse's course unlikely to drain in time, so we're cancelling today's Putting Tour Wellington event at Golf Warehouse, Lower Hutt (1pm).

The good news: based on the current forecast and course conditions, tomorrow's Pirate's Cove event is still on as planned. We'll keep you posted if anything changes.

⛳Save the date: The NZ Mini Golf Open 2026 will take place on the 21st-22nd November. Once again held at our players' favourite - Golf Warehouse in Lower Hutt. We've also got a few events leading up to the big weekend - we'll be announcing these soon along with registrations.

⛳The New Zealand Mini Golf Federation is an Incorporated Society that holds an Annual General Meeting around this time of year.

We'll be hosting this via Zoom on the 2nd July at 8pm.

Congratulations to Patrick Holla-Yin for his win in the 2026 NZ Putting Tour Waikato Masters on Sunday! Patrick's secured his qualification for 2027's WMF World Adventure Golf Tour final in Czechia!

Both days at Prodrive Golf saw 17 players (including the 5 kiwis fresh off the plane from their 2026 WAGT final and Poland Adventure Golf Masters) on the green and a new NZMGF course record of 37 set by Matt Ansley ⛳ set on Saturday!

The nail-bitingly close finishes are a testament to the skills of these competitors!
