How are your Peggy squares going? 🧶

We will be collecting squares at our guild meetings on Saturday 30 May and Saturday 27 June. (1.30pm Waterloo School Hall, Lower Hutt).

If you don’t belong to our quilting guild, but would like to join in our shipments, you’re welcome to drop your squares off and we will post them to Auckland for you with our squares. We will be doing one shipment in early June to join the big effort, and then a final shipment after our 27 June meeting. We will have a big box by the door. Just drop them in.

You might have seen or heard that are collecting Peggy squares to make blankets for premature babies in hospitals around NZ.

If you can knit and would like to help out, we will be collecting the knitted Peggy squares at April, May and June meetings and will send them to Auckland for you.

They’re very simple to make and every square helps. They don’t have to be single colours - you could try stripes. 100% wool preferred please.

How many do you think a quilting guild could make in 10 weeks?
20?
40?
60?

Thank you everyone.

We finished our quilt coats! 🌟🌟🌟

Thank you for coming to Wellington in January and spending 2 days teaching us how to make our very own quilt coats. We’re all thrilled with our finished coats.

We couldn’t all make it to the big revel today, so there will be more quilt coats to enjoy next month.

Jelly Rolls. 🎉🎉🎉

All the details of our jelly roll sewing day are in the newsletter. Team sign ups take place at our February meeting. There is space for everyone who wants to take part.

Here are our jelly rolls. They will be allocated to the teams at the February meeting. Thank you everyone who donated one. The finished quilts will be donated to charities.
