Join the Naenae community gardeners on the first Sunday each month for a relaxed hour of gardening.
Look for the Kererū Gardens sign at our lower entrance.
Get together, learn from each other, and grow kai for you and your community.
Everyone is welcome - get your hands in the soil, bring the tamariki for a play, or sit and relax!
All gear provided. Hosted by Hutt Timebank and Wesley Rātā Village, Naenae

Hutt Timebank recently hosted some popular gardening workshops here at the village, with a focus on "growing great soil" 🌱❤️
These workshops filled up fast, but there is also a casual monthly garden session held at Kererū Gardens, held on the first Sunday of every month, between 3 and 4pm, which is open to everyone 🌞

A reminder we are having our Friends of Rātā Street Loop track guided walk this Sunday the 8th of March.

We will meet at 2:00pm at the bottom entrance to the track and finish up at the village and have a cup of tea and chat around 4:00.

On the walk we will learn from Cr Andy Mitchell - Hutt City Council about our amazing piece of ngahere in Naenae.

Look forward to seeing you then, and feel free to bring your whānau and any interested neighbours.

A new Community Gardening group will be meeting this coming Sunday (1st March), and on the first Sunday of the month from then on!
This community-led group is open to anyone who'd like to do gardening together (both village residents and Naenae locals).
Kererū Gardens is found just up from the lower entrance to the Rātā Street Loop.

Local Naenae artist and friend of the village, Kat, is hosting three "Art for All Ages" workshops these school holidays:
🎨Friday 26 September 10am - 2pm
🎨Tuesday 30th September 10am - 2pm
🎨Friday 3rd October 10am - 2pm
These sessions are open to all; village residents and anyone in our wider community. Optional koha to help cover costs. This is a fun, relaxed and welcoming place to hang out and be creative together.
Choose to come to one, two, or all three sessions.
