What a great day out on the hills of Kaituna.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported the fundraising trail ride – it was great to see such a strong turnout and so many smiling faces enjoying the course.

Thank you to the landowners of the property’s we were able to use for the ride and parking - your generosity is most appreciated.

We’re incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers who gave their time and energy to make the day run smoothly, as well as the amazing team from the Little River Fire Brigade for their support and presence on the day.

To everyone else who played a part in bringing this event together – from planning to setup and pack-down there was a lot of work go into making it a well planned event - thank you. It truly was a team effort.

We were lucky to have the weather mostly hold off, making for an awesome day out, and it’s safe to say a good time was had by all.

Thanks again everyone!

🔥 KAITUNA HILLS TRAIL RIDE – READY TO GO! 🔥

We’re all set for an epic day out this Sunday! The course is fully marked, prepped, and looking unreal – just waiting for you to hit the tracks 🏍️💨

Whether you’re keen on the main loop, tackling some enduro options, or bringing the kids along for the children’s loop, there’s something for everyone. The Kaituna Hills are in great order and it’s shaping up to be a cracker of a ride!

NO Quads or side by sides.

📍 2409 Christchurch Akaroa Road, Ataahua (Kaituna)
🕘 Course opens from 9:00am
💲 Adults $60 | Juniors (11–15yrs) $40 | Under 10yrs $20

The good news is we have been able to proceed with the Dog Trials at the end of the Domain 🐕

Pack the brolly and the gumboots and head on down to support the guys and girls in action — they’d love to see you there!

📢 Official Notice – Cancellation of the 114th Banks Peninsula A&P Show

The Banks Peninsula A&P Association regrets to advise that the 114th Banks Peninsula A&P Show, scheduled for Saturday 24 January 2026, has been cancelled.

Due to significant waterlogging of the showgrounds and the forecast of further adverse weather, the Committee has made the difficult decision that it is not safe or practical to proceed with this year’s event.

We sincerely thank our volunteers, sponsors, judges, exhibitors, and competitors for your continued support. We understand this decision will be disappointing and apologise that we are unable to deliver the 2026 show as planned. A great deal of preparation had gone into this year’s event, and the Committee was very much looking forward to welcoming you all.

Our Secretary will be in contact in due course with exhibitors and competitors regarding next steps.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support of the Banks Peninsula A&P Association.
