Donation To Friends of Ellesmere Hospital

Mark Van Dooren Sales Consultant as part of the Property Brokers' Leeston Team fete day activity ran a sausage sizzle. It was a gold coin donation, and recipient of the funds raised was the Friends of Ellesmere Hospital. He raised $575 for the Friends activities. Thanks, Mark much appreciated.

The Friends of Ellesmere Hospital held this annual bowls tournament at the Leeston Bowling Club on the 16th of March 2026.

Players came from all round Canterbury for this annual event, thank you Leeston Bowling Club for your ongoing support annually with this event.

The Friends of Ellesmere Hospital is a group that operates locally to support the local hospital - staff and patients. Activities over the last 12-18 months have seen new chairs purchased, new curtains, water filter in the kitchen installed, and other items. We are very grateful for the sponsors for their generous donations and wonderful prizes for the raffles. The day was very successful day making over $6500.

👋Ellesmere community:
There will be a Leeston Health Services Public Meeting on Thursday 7 May 7-8pm at Ellesmere College, Riki Ellison Memorial Hall, Leeston-Dunsandel Road, Leeston.

The meeting is an opportunity for Health New Zealand to share information about how health services are planned and how services are currently delivered locally. It’s a chance to hear from the public what is working well, what could be better and what matters most to the community.

The meeting will have a panel of health leaders available to provide information, listen and answer questions. Everyone is welcome.
