A huge thank you to our wonderful Norfolk Island community for the amazing support at the Lions Biggest BBQ today.
What a fantastic success it was. We were completely sold out by 1pm, with a constant flow of locals and tourists coming through all day. People enjoying this beautiful day down at Emily Bay came up saying they could smell the barbecue from down there. We also loved hearing the many compliments, especially people telling us the steak sandwiches were the best they had ever had.
We were so grateful to see well over 150 people come down and support this special fundraiser. A special thank you to the nursing staff from the hospital and the local police for popping down and showing their support. Thank you also to everyone who did drive-bys simply to donate, and to those ordering food who gave extra donations towards the Childhood Cancer Research Foundation.
A big thank you also to our Lions Club volunteers for all the time and effort that went into the day. From setting up, to serving, to packing up afterwards, it was a real team effort, and it was wonderful to see it all come together so well.
It was also lovely to see so many people stopping by for a chat, sharing laughs and enjoying the atmosphere.
Thank you again to everyone who came down, donated and helped make the day such a success.
