Wanted: Three Wellington Families

We’ve been kindly offered a free professional photoshoot on Sunday 17 May (2pm) in Eastbourne and are looking for three whānau to take part.

We are looking for a family who are currently pregnant or have a child under 1 year of age. The images will be used to promote what we do (social media, website etc) and a permission form will be signed on the day.

Each session will take around 20 minutes and you'll receive digital copies of your photos to treasure.

Breastfeeding support in Karori:

La Leche League Wellington runs weekly informal meetings to discuss whatever challenges the parents are facing. The meetings are held from 10am-11am on Monday mornings, at 163 Karori Rd (Karori Baptist Church).

They include a short "Tit Talk" at each meeting, giving 5-10 minutes of information and resources.

The Tit Talk Topics for May will be:

May 4 - Tit Talk "Returning to work"
May 11- Tit Talk "Biting!"
May 18 - Tit Talk "Starting solids"
May 25 - Tit Talk "Sleep"

The Nest Collective Wellington always needs donations, and right now we need more newborn and 6-12 month clothing.

We love donations (new or pre-loved in excellent condition) of nearly all baby essentials. Every donation, large or small, makes a difference to babies and the families who need it most.

What isn’t accepted?
Second hand car seats or capsules.
Second hand soft toys, CDs and DVDs.
Electronic toys or gadgets e.g. battery operated baby toys, baby monitors, electronic breast pumps.
Change tables.
Cots and bassinets that don’t meet the NZ safety standards
Cot bumpers and other sleeping accessories e.g. wedges, head supports, soft duvets and pillows.
