An Official Pinning ⭐️

We were very fortunate to capture some beautiful whakaahua of our Waiariki Ngā Puawai Kōtahi Tātau Youth Representative, Caitlin Papuni‑Mclellan, being officially pinned with our nīti new NPKT badges 🥳

This special kaupapa took place at the Waiariki hui‑ā‑rohe, where their patron, Nanny Judie Tihi, proudly pinned Caitlin as the regional NPKT Representative. A moment filled with aroha, pride, and history🌸

We look forward to seeing more of our regional NPKT Reps being “officially” pinned in the coming months - ahakoa he iti he pounamu… our badges and the pinning of mema may seem a bit old school but in the league it’s a moment of mana, acknowledgment and a moment with a legacy of its own💫

Congratulations to Caitlin and Waiariki Rohe❤️

Women Deliver ✨Delivered✨

Couldn’t help myself… had to reflect on the week.

Youth Power were my kupu of the week, and it showed in every space we stepped into. Being there alongside a ropu of sharp, passionate MWWL youth delegates was something special.

Grateful for the experience, the kōrero, and the momentum we’re carrying forward💜⭐️

✨ Legacy in Motion — Intergenerational Leadership & Succession Planning, Embedding Youth in Governance and Leadership Roles…

Still buzzing from an unforgettable week at 2026💜

Our MWWL Youth delegation delivered a packed, high‑energy concurrent session that shared the real story of our leadership journey and how we’re reshaping the future of the league to include youth voices to ensure we uphold the legacy left for us. The support from people all over the world was overwhelming!! 🫂

We also launched our ✨Principles of Indigenous Youth Governance✨ during the concurrent session.. a living framework shaped by what we see and feel we as youth need right now. It’s ours, it’s evolving, and it’s in our bio 💌

We were honoured to bring not only an intergenerational aspect but also an international aspect to the session as we had Alysha - Youth Director and Delegate from join us for the panel segment of our session. We are so grateful to have had her share her wisdom and knowledge with us and for ONWA’s continous support. Ngā mihi nunui ki a koutou🤍

As the inaugural National Ngā Puawai Kōtahi Tātau Youth Representative, I’m incredibly proud of our youth delegates. We stood strong, we stood together, and we represented with heart. Poho kererū ana mātou🔥

A huge mihi to our senior mema who uplifted us throughout the week. Your legacy is the foundation we build on, and we wouldn’t be here without you🌸

Stay tuned!!! Our Youth Delegates will be sharing more reflections of their time and Women Deliver 2026 over the next couple of weeks ✨

That’s me signing out of WD26 & handing it over to our regional youth reps🫡🫡
