Building Kaitangata’s emergency resilience – Meeting #2



Are you interested in being part of Kaitangata Community Response Plan for Civil Defence emergencies? Then come along to our 2nd meeting at the Kaitangata Town Hall on Wednesday, 1 July at 6pm.
At our last meeting we heard about how Response Groups work.
This time, we want to form the dedicated response group and make a plan to get stuff done! Come along, all welcome.

Just a bit of an update post from the Pool committee. Heaps has been happening at the pool over the last few months. New windows have been installed, flash new pool liner installed two heat pumps for heating the pool are placed all new pipe work and dosing system are near completion. The committee would like to thank all the trades involved in this massive project although we are not finished yet we are well on the way. Keep an eye out for updates.

Kaitangata is known for its resilient and resourceful residents, always ready to come together and tackle challenges.

We are looking to form a Kaitangata Community Resilience Group who can support our community prior to and during emergencies.

A Community Resilience Group plays a vital role in encouraging preparedness activities before an emergency and coordinating community efforts during emergencies, helping us stay strong and connected when it matters most.

Clutha District Council and Emergency Management Otago warmly invite all residents to come along to hear about emergency preparedness and how you can become part of the Kaitangata Community Resilience Group.
