As a charitable community foodbank we rely solely on funding we have applied for, financial donations from businesses, families or individuals and donations of goods from businesses, organisations, families and individuals. For those of you who have been asking what is needed by the Foodbank...

We gladly and gratefully accept anything but these are the Items that are always needed:

Financial Donations to purchase food items needed
Tinned Meat (e.g. Tuna, Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines, etc.) Tinned Fruit / Veg / Baked Beans / Tomatoes, etc. Weetbix)
2min Noodles
Rice
Sugar
Flour
Personal items / Toiletries like Toothpaste, Shampoo, Feminine Products, Nappies, etc. Household items like Toilet Paper, Dishwash Liquid, Cleaning Products, etc. Meat and Fruit and Vegetables are a huge help! Please note that perishables can't be left in a donation box so need to be delivered please. We have a Donation Box at Pak 'n Save Kaitaia and our Foodbank is at 6 South Road (down the driveway, behind Kaitaia People's Centre and across the road from Mobil). We are open for deliveries Mon-Fri 12-4pm.

There’s something for everyone this term! Join us for learning, creativity, and fun across the week.

Our regular programmes include:
• Crafternoon (Tuesdays, 3:30–4:15pm) – Guided crafts for tamariki.
• Kanikani Kids (Wednesdays, 10:30–11:30am) – Fun activities for babies and parents.
• Brightsparx (Wednesdays, 3:15–4pm) – STEM-based fun for curious kids.
• Tamariki Time (Thursdays, 10–10:30am) – Stories, songs, and outside play.
• Minecraft (Fridays, 3:15–4pm) – End-of-week chill time for kids.

As a Swim Teacher, you'll help children of all ages develop confidence and safety in the water while celebrating their progress every step of the way. Training will be provided for the superstar candidates.

😊 Guest Experience Team Members
As part of our Guest Experience team, you'll be the welcoming face of Te Hiku Sports Hub. From assisting members and visitors to answering enquiries, processing memberships, and helping create a positive atmosphere throughout the facility, you'll play a key role in ensuring every guest feels valued and supported.
