This week we have been flying our flag at half mast in honor of Life member and brigade stalwart Tony Smith. Tony served in the brigade from 1958 until 1985 earning a Gold Star and life membership. Tony and his late wife Mary were big supporters of the brigade and regularly attended functions and meetings and their son Ramon and grandson Tim are also past members.
We would like to thank our other life members who supported Tony coming along to functions when it became difficult for him to get there on his own, I know this meant a lot to him.
Kaikoura Volunteer Fire Brigade sends its condolences to the Smith family.

On Saturday, 2 of our Brigade with many other firefighters from across the motu participated in the Firefighter Sky Tower Challenge, climbing the Sky Tower to raise money for Blood Cancer New Zealand ❤️

With your support, firefighters have raised $2,487,761 - with donations still open!
