Kaikoura Bridge club are holding a free Introduction to Bridge lesson, where we will explain the basics and let you try the game in a friendly environment. No experience is needed and you do not need a partner. Bridge is a fascinating card game that is fun, social and great for keeping the mind active. Loveblock NZ Wide Pairs held on Friday 17th October. We had 44 players this year, and for the size of our club this was a huge turnout, more players than ChCh Bridge Club played.
Our scores are compared against 818 players throughout NZ. Two of our new players, Sandra Lawrence and April Anstis were 8/21 in the Novice section, a superb result for these 2 keen players who have only recently come out of lessons.
This event is a highlight of our year and everyone really enjoyed the social aspect of it as well. Jos and Marilynnwill receive the sponsors product, some lovely wine each, as they were closest to 50%, actually exactly 50%!
