Thank you to the Kaikoura community for supporting the Takahanga Sport & Recreation fundraising golf tournament.
There were plenty of winners on the day but the extra special winners were:

Tickets are available at Kaikoura Hammer Hardware this week only, with final tickets being sold at the Takahanga Sport & Recreation Facility golf fundraising tournament this weekend. A $10 ticket sees you with a good chance to cook up a storm this summer on a new Weber BBQ!

Fantastic news to hear that the Takahanga court project is about to get underway.

COMMUNITY COURTS RENEWALS:

Nigel Ross Contracting is starting the renewal of the old earthquake damaged tennis courts at the intersection of Killarney St and Esplanade on Monday the 14th of October.

Initial set up work for the site will commence Thursday 10th of October.

This involves raising the existing courts to a single level, backfilling and asphalting for three netball and tennis courts.

Works are expected to take 7 weeks.

During this time, the courts will be unavailable to the public.

We want people who are community sport and recreation minded; can think strategically; enjoy working with others who have complimentary skills; can dedicate time and knowledge to this worthwhile community endeavour; can stay involved for a reasonable period of time (at least one term of office); and who will help build an inclusive culture around increasing peoples access to sport and recreation in all forms here in Kaikoura.”

The Takahanga Sport & Recreation facility enters the final stages of it's build. The last few months have been challenging with constant cost of build and fit-out increases at all levels. Our project team remains committed to providing a well thought out space for all sport and recreational groups to use.
Our Buy a Block campaign is still running and will continue to do so until the very end.

What a sight! The new Takahanga Sport & Recreation facility is looking sooo good!
We have seen great progress over these last months, all due to LMC Building and Construction Ltd.
