Kaiaua Community Garden Pātaka Kai

Part of our Kaiaua Community Garden project was to operate a Kaiaua Community Pātaka. The motto for our Pataka is "take with need not with greed".

We are located at the Kaiaua school bus parking area, 1061 East Coast Road, Whakatiwai, Kaiaua. No entry to the Kaiaua Communuty Garden on the Kaiaua School grounds during school hours.

Lots of salad greens in the Pātaka. Thanks for the donation.

We will be stocking it with vegetables next week. Nows a great time to sort those pantries for those spur of the moment purchases that you haven't needed.

A mainstay in any vege garden, onions are a versatile easy grow crop! They store well after harvest so can be enjoyed for months on end. Onions are the foundation of many types of cuisine all over the world, used fresh in salads and pickles, or added to stirfries, curries and soups.
