We Need Your Help!
1st Island Bay Scout Group has always wanted to support the Community, back in 1918 we helped with the epidemic, you can see the support we got from your community in the flag finial that we still carry today at ANZAC services and parades. (see pictures)
Our Scout Group is in urgent need of new Leaders. Without more adult volunteers, we risk not being able to offer the amazing adventures, skills, and friendships that Scouts brings to our young people. We have lost our Kea leader and another Leader who splits time between Cubs and Scouts. So, we have already suspended our Kea section this means that a group of 5–8 year-olds cannot get together for fun and learning in our own great backyard, with our other Leader leaving, maintaining the Cub section and Scouts, 24 and 14 members respectively of both girls and boys becomes a critical issue.
In Scouts we meet and make friends for life and are part of a worldwide organisation

We’re reaching out to our community because we can’t do this alone.
👉 If you’ve ever thought about giving back…
👉 If you want to make a difference in the lives of our youth
👉 If you believe in teamwork, fun, and helping the next generation grow…
Then we need YOU.
No experience is required — just your time, energy, and willingness to help. Training and support are provided. Even a few hours a month can make a huge impact.
You don’t have to be a leader we still need people who can help us with the behind the scenes building maintenance, hall booking admin this jobs that leaders do now and have less time for the youth so being a leader is not all we need.
Please, please talk to friends, acquaintances anybody you know.
