Facilitated by the Māori Cancer Kaiārahi Service at Ngā Kete Mātauranga Pounamu, Manaaki Manawa is a supportive group for whānau affected by cancer. Held every second Wednesday at Tomairangi Marae, it provides a welcoming space to connect, share experiences, access information, and tautoko one another through their cancer journey.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. The strength, resilience and whakawhanaungatanga shared within this rōpū is truly special.

We are currently accepting referrals for Taurite Tū, our Strength and Balance class facilitated by Kōrari Māori Public Health, held on Monday mornings for Māori whānau aged 50+.

We use traditional Māori movements as well as modern exercises to strengthen muscles, build balance and confidence. This class focuses on falls prevention, posture, breathing and increasing balance and strength.

If you know a kaumātua or whānau member who may benefit from this kaupapa, we welcome referrals.

A big congratulations to Mark Pe'a, who was the lucky winner of our Men’s Health Day competition at Invercargill Central!
Mark completed our Men’s Health Quiz, and his name was drawn from all the correct entries.

It was great to see so many tāne getting involved in Men’s Health Day and taking the time to learn more about looking after their health and wellbeing.

RIVERTON – FREE NURSES CLINIC THIS FRIDAY!

Our outreach nursing team will be back in Riverton this Friday 2 October, 9:30am–12:30pm at Riverton Community House.

Childhood immunisations are available for children who are due or overdue. Bookings are essential for immunisations.

We’ll also have our nurses available for our FREE community nurses clinic, so pop in and have a chat with the team.
