Mīharo ‘Aiga (Trust) are privileged to have the opportunity to host ‘The Gentle Boys Ponder’ Company these April school holidays. This company is made up of 7 young Pasifika graduates of Toi Whakaari - New Zealand Drama School.

'The Gentle Boys Ponder' aims to uplift, empower and equip young Māori and Pasifika youth with artistic, performance and production skills to create their work in live performance, screen, writing and soundscapes. As Toi Whakaari’s Acting Programme graduates, the seven creatives formed a kinship based on their shared passion and appreciation for the arts. Hailing from different regions of Aotearoa, what made this union special was the shared need to propel their acting craft to thresholds beyond their comfort.

Exciting news! We are so pleased to start back on monthly Pizza & Movie evenings for this 2024! Next sesh will be the coming Sunday, March 10th, same place as usual. However, due to popular demand, we will be starting a bit earlier so those who need to be getting home sooner can do so before dark. Doors will be open 4:15 and aiming to start 5ish 🍿 🎥

A couple of years ago, I was hanging out with some of my straight gal pals when the conversation turned to sexual health. I will never forget the moment when one of my sweet, naive friends said: “I feel like chlamydia isn’t really a thing anymore.”

Tomorrow is catch up day!!!
Something a little different this time, the lovely team at InsideOUT will be joining us to run a collaging session to get us savouring!
They have asked folks to bring some of the following for themselves and/or to share:
- Magazines
- Old fabric, wallpaper, decorative paper, etc.
- Scissors
- Glue sticks and/or white glue
- Colored pencils, markers, crayons

Personal items to add:
Poems
Photos
Tickets stubs or pamphlets
