What a great result from Saturday's Tom Verney Memorial cross-country in Stratford. We won the Points Cup with a super team effort! Thank you to those who participated.

We have the Tom Verney Memorial Cross-country this Saturday at Stratford. It would be lovely to see as many of our club there as possible and see if we can win back the coverted Tom Verney Memorial cup!!

This Saturday, our club run/walk is an estimated time (over approx 2.5km) in the Te Henui walkway. See map below.

We'll meet at the East End Reserve on Buller Street at 10:00am. Once everyone has finished, we will head to our clubroom at Fitzroy Golf club for morning tea.

There will be spot prizes for closest walk and running time 😊 You can choose to race it or just cruise along at your own pace.

The 80th anniversary of the Hughes Memorial Cross-country in Hawera yesterday provided some great results from our members!

In the junior section, Meila Christiansen (U10 Girls), Addie Flemming (U12 Girls), Rylah Christiansen (U14 Girls) and Bryn Espin (U16 Boys) all won their respective grades!! As did Aidan Galley in the U20 mens race.

Our older members also fared well - first place to Joy Baker (W70), Alan Jones (M80) and Karen Gillum-Green (Open Walk - closest to estimate.

Cohen Fleming (U10 Boys), Tui Bray (W50) and Des Phillips (M75) place second in their grades and Eve Cross (U16 Girls) third place in her grade.

Well done every one!

It was a great night last night at the TET Athletics Taranaki sports awards. The guest speaker, Mitch Joynt was amazing. Mitch is a former Para Olympian - winning two bronze medals at two Olympics. And just last week won bronze at the Oceania T&F champs.

CONGRATULATIONS to our members who claimed trophies at last night's TET Athletics Taranaki Sports Awards!!!
