We want someone who is passionate about supporting PSGE/iwi/Māori kaupapa and wants to make a real and positive impact in our hapori and rohe. The person must be purpose driven and love working to achieve strong whānau outcomes. Thank you to everyone who came to today’s Open Day for Te Awhi Rito, featuring 15 quality homes designed to create achievable pathways for whānau into affordable rental and shared ownership opportunities.

It was wonderful to welcome whānau, community members, partners, supporters, sponsors, vendors, and friends to experience the first collection within Te Rito, a significant housing development for Pā Harakeke, Flaxmere.

A heartfelt thank you to our project partners, Ka Uruora, Hāpai Housing, TW Group, our trustees, staff, contractors, sponsors, vendors, and everyone who has contributed to bringing this vision to life.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa who joined us and celebrated this important milestone with us. This is only the beginning of the Te Rito journey, and we look forward to sharing the next chapters with you all. E mihi ana!

He rangi nui whakaharahara tēnei. Ka tuia i Te Rongo o Whatumā hei oranga mō ōna hapū, mō ōna wāhi, kia maumahara ki ngā mātua tūpuna, me te mana āhua ake nō rātou anō, ā, i takea mai ki a tatou.

Yesterday, the Accord Partners came together to sign the Whatumā Accord, a shared commitment to working together to restore, protect and enhance the cultural, environmental, social and economic wellbeing of Whatumā. Te Rongo o Whatumā, the statutory body responsible for the administration of the Whatumā Recreational Reserve, has led the development of the Accord alongside its partners.The Accord brings together Te Rongo o Whatumā, the Department of Conservation, Hawke's Bay Regional Council and Central Hawke's Bay District Council, formalising a shared commitment to work together and align efforts across the lake.

Tamatea Pōkai Whenua is proud to support Te Rongo o Whatumā on this journey and remains committed to standing alongside the Accord Partners as we collectively work towards a thriving Whatumā for future generations.

3. Welcome & opening address by the Chairman;
4. Six-Month Update July – December 2025;
5. Trust Deed Review; and
6. Conclusion of meeting, followed by lunch.

There are no formal resolutions to be considered at this hui, and no documents to circulate in advance. The meeting is intended as an opportunity for the Trust to share a six-month update with iwi members.
