…so our trip has been delayed ☹️

That grey slug on the left is - or rather was - a cyst on the jaw. Benign, happily sitting there unnoticed until noticed. And then removed. Which is all good. H o w e v e r , the bone has yet to grow back and firm up the jaw.

After a bit of a scare last week - nothing serious - it became clear that a week smashing up and down on rutted roads is not the best recovery plan. I mean, my kids don’t like the bashing around when I drive on public roads, so yeah, it makes sense. Apparently a broken jaw is not a lot fun to recover from, so we’ll not be risking that.

So we’ve pulled out of August while this heals and will look at a later rally.

Watch this space; you can’t really watch that space without an x-ray.
