Our HOPE61 trainer, Imogen, is currently in South Korea leading a 2 day HOPE61 training with a group of Korean missionaries. Here’s what she had to share:

“🇰🇷I’m excited to be leading my first full HOPE61 human trafficking prevention training here in Korea over the next two days! With the help of a translator, we will talk about what human trafficking looks like, the different vulnerabilities we see in our communities, and how we can use our gifts and talents to help prevent trafficking.

I really want to thank everyone who supports this work 💕 I know I have such an army of prayer warriors behind me and I am so grateful! God is really moving in mighty ways, what a joy to be a small part of His big mission! 😃”

🇳🇿 Our Board Chairman Keith proudly represented New Zealand at the OMS 125th anniversary celebration this weekend! Our flag bearer looked clean cut in his suit!

Our three travellers enjoyed a lovely dinner out with Randy and Shelley, an amazing couple working full time in Ukraine. It was a great reunion for our Board Member James, as he helped out at the English camps they used to run there. Thank you God for these workers!

Hello America! 👏🏼

Yesterday, our Director Karen, board member James (L), and board chairman Keith landed in the States. This week they will be attending mission meetings at the OMS Headquarters in Indiana, before gathering with more than 500 others to celebrate OMS’s 125th anniversary 🎉🎉

Please be praying as they connect and network with others, for energy and minimal jet lag. We praise God for opening up this door for them, we look forward to hearing about all they do!

Celebrate with us an amazing 125 years of OMS this year! 🎉🎉 On Monday, our next newsletter comes out and we’re excited to look back on what God has done, hear some powerful stories from past and current missionaries, and see some highlights of the work God has done through our little office in New Zealand.

If you’d like to receive our quarterly newsletter, just send your details through to Imogen at [email protected] and she’ll get you added in!

Please join us in celebrating our missionary (G.R) achieving 30 years of service with OMS! 🥳🥳

Due to the delicate nature of her work and locations of service, we aren’t sharing her name. However, we can tell you that she has overseen the professional development of English teachers in a number of locations across Europe and Asia. She currently continues to train students in ESOL and teaches cross cultural skills.

We give thanks to God for G.R and the work that He has enabled her to do. We know there will be countless people who have benefited from her teaching, who have gone on to do amazing things for the Kingdom of God. Praise the Lord! 💕

A big thank you to Jeff and Laura Edwards, our OMS president, for coming to visit us last weekend! We are so grateful for their time to meet with our board members, staff and missionaries home on furlough.

It was also fun to show them more of the New Zealand culture, singing worship songs in Māori, and hearing a sermon on the early days of Christianity in Aotearoa 💕 A trip to our famous black sand beach, Raglan, was also a highlight!

We pray for safe travels as Jeff and Laura continue their pastoral care trips.
