Waikato Yacht Squadron Our first and foremost objective is to encourage and support safe family sailing. We often have a guest speaker.

The Waikato Yacht Squadron operates from Hamilton in New Zealand but our sailing activities are mostly based in the Hauraki Gulf and originate either from Kawakawa Bay where we operate a secure trailer yacht parking area, or from the Pine Harbour Marina where most keel boats are moored. Our monthly social meeting, the Nog n Natter, is held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at the Hamilton Yacht

Club, starting at 7.30 pm. These meetings aim to be informative on all aspects of sailing and squadron affairs. The Squadron is affiliated to Yachting New Zealand (YNZ) and the New Zealand Trailer Yacht Association (NZTYA). Whenever possible we support and participate in the activities of kindred clubs such as the Pine Harbour Cruising Club, Ngaroto Boating Club and Maraetai Sailing Club. Prospective members (who need not own a boat) are welcome to attend our meetings prior to their nomination for membership.
