Ever had to go back and fix a fence because the soil or the weather decided to humble you?

We’ve all seen it - using the wrong post in soft, flood-prone river flats, or forgetting how brutal coastal salt and high-country winds can be on your gear. Suddenly a boundary line fails way sooner than it should.

Effective stock management isn't just about stringing wire; it's about outsmarting the terrain before you even load the tractor. If you want boundaries that actually last without constant callbacks, you have to read the land first.

Waratah Fencing NZ breaks down exactly how to do that with their 6 steps to smarter fence design.

It is worth a quick look before you map out your next grazing block or laneway project.

Check out the 6 steps here: www.waratahfencing.co.nz/how-to/design-your-fence

Member Benefit #10 — Industry Awards

Good work deserves to be recognised.

FCANZ industry awards celebrate quality fencing, great craftsmanship and good people across the fencing industry.

For members, awards are an opportunity to raise your profile, showcase your work and be recognised by your peers. Finalists and winners also receive promotion through FCANZ channels, and FCANZ issues media releases to help share their achievements more widely.

Local media also often love a good local success story, so being named as a finalist or winner can create valuable exposure in your own community. (Just ask Custom Fencing !)

That’s your FCANZ membership at work.
