๐Ÿ’— Supporting Women Around the World ๐ŸŒ

Hillcrest Lions are proud to support a nationwide charity that collects new and good-quality pre-loved bras and sends them to women in need across the Pacific Islands and parts of Africa.

Thanks to the generosity of Rich Lingerie Shop in Albany, we were delighted to donate boxes of beautiful lingerie samples that could no longer be sold.

A simple donation can bring comfort, dignity, and confidence to women around the world. ๐Ÿฆโค๏ธ

๐ŸŽ„ The Christmas Cake Project is underway! ๐ŸŽ„

Hillcrest Lions have taken delivery of our pre-made Christmas cakes! Over the coming weekends, our members will be busy icing and decorating the cakes, ready for sale.

โค๏ธ This year, funds raised will support the North Shore Intensive Care Baby Unit, helping provide special beds for parents to stay close to their children.

Every cake sold helps make a difference. ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŽ„

August Lion of the Month award goes to one of our newest members, Jill Memory.

Jill joined us in June 2025, after retiring from her job. She took a while to decide if we were her "cup of tea", and fortunately for us, we were. ๐Ÿ™‚

Jill has entered into the spirit of Lions, joining us in our various activities, and when she was approached about taking over the Social Committee leadership role, she agreed to take it on.
Jill is very thorough in all she takes on, so we can look forward to an interesting year ahead.

One of our members, who previously served with Lions Clubs in District 306A2, Sri Lanka, gave us an insightful presentation on

We enjoyed learning about how Lions Clubs in Sri Lanka serve their communities, their activities and fellowships, and the differences in how Lions Clubs operate across countries.

It was a great opportunity to share experiences, discover new perspectives, and celebrate what connects us as Lions around the world.

Thank you, Lion Sachintha Subasinghe, for sharing your experiences with us, and welcome once again to the Hillcrest Lions family!
