Ko Tairāwhiti waka hourua tēnei. Tairāwhiti waka hourua is a waka for all people of Te Tairāwhiti.

Our kaupapa is building future leaders and guardians of our moana by enabling connection to our past, present, and future, and nurturing a sense of belonging – to our waka, to our place, and to each other.

As part of our 2026 Education offering, our kaumoana and kaihautū spent time at Kaiti School last week - igniting the spark of curiosity in the tamariki around waka and navigation 💡 tau kē tamariki mā!
