Musica Viva Gisborne Promoting and fostering the love of classical music. If you are a lover of classical music come along and hear NZ’s best musicians perform.

Musica Viva Gisborne, in association with Chamber Music NZ, brings talented classical musicians to perform in Gisborne. Chamber music groups have a wide range of instrument combinations and play music composed by popular composers like Beethoven, Mozart, and Marler , New Zealand composers and less well known composers. Any music lovers can attend the concerts either by buying a ticket at the door

or becoming a member of Musica Viva and receiving a discounted ticket price. Local musicians are encouraged and supported through the “Secondary Schools Chamber Music contest” and through assisting with concerts performed by local musicians.
