Do you have what it takes?

We are a natural environment fire brigade.
So what does that mean?
We are called to suppress fires in rural areas of Tairawhiti. Whether that's down on the beach, on farmland or in a forest. We also back up the big red trucks with extra manpower and tanker support.

Come down to a training night and see what it's all about.
From here on, we train every Wednesday night starting at 18.30hrs

Disgusting behaviour
We stand with all of our brigades and members

Kia ora whānau,
We’re feeling pretty disappointed.

At around 4.15am - 6am Saturday morning, while our crew was out on an emergency callout, two of our crew's utes were tampered with and a toolbox was stolen from one.

It’s sad to think that while we’re out helping our whānau, others are helping themselves to our gear.

Kia mataara e te whānau. Please keep an eye out for any suspicious activity. If you have any info make contact.

Kia ora whānau,
This Friday, 11 September, the Truman whānau will be bringing Nelson’s ashes home to Tokomaru Bay.

At 3.45pm, we will gather outside the Tokomaru Bay Volunteer Fire Brigade to welcome Nelson home and honor the dedication , commitment and service he gave to our community and the Fire Service.

From there, we will head over to the Tokomaru Bay United Club Rooms for his memorial and remember the special person he was to so many of us.

We would love to see our brigade, whānau, friends and the wider community come together to support the Truman whānau and honour Nelson’s life and the memories he has left with us.
