University of Waikato Emeritus Professor Carolyn King has released her final book Stoat in the Dock, bringing together decades of research into one of New Zealand's most damaging invasive predators.

In the book, she explains why stoats, introduced to control rabbits, are still thriving, and why going fully predator free by 2050 might not be realistic. But there’s still hope: local trapping and more fenced sanctuaries can help protect our native birds like the Kiwi.
